Built by enthusiasts in California. “Sorted” is a British term, but the problem it solves is the same everywhere.
The collector car world has never had one place to find the people who keep these cars running. Everyone knows a guy, and the good names get passed around quietly, or held close like a bargaining chip. That leaves a lot of great shops unseen, and a lot of owners guessing.
Fully Sorted is here to change that. It's one hub where anyone can find the right specialist, and where every good shop gets a fair chance to be found.
We're a small team. We want to make owning a collector car more fun, and help keep the hobby alive for the people who come next.
That's the whole company, really.
How the directory is organized
The ownership year
The trades, in the order a car usually meets them. Check it, move it, register it, fix it, straighten it, rebuild it, trim it, clean it, store it and shoot it. Buy it, get it home, make it legal, keep it right, keep it clean, put it away, and one day sell it well. Every specialist on the platform is listed under one of these, so you search for the job, not the jargon.

How it works
The review record is the ranking
Owners leave a review after the work is done, and only after the work is done. A shop's place in the directory comes from that record and nothing else. No average is shown until there are enough reviews to mean something.
We do not take a cut of the work. The job is between you and the specialist, priced by them, paid to them. Browsing the directory is free and being listed in it is free. Selling a car in the marketplace is a flat, one-time listing fee, stated up front, with no commission and no buyer's premium when it sells.
For owners
Search by the job. Read what other owners said. Send a brief. Review the work afterwards.
For specialists
One application, one profile, your reviews under your name. Leads arrive with the job already described.
For buyers and sellers
A marketplace where every listing says whether an owner or a dealer is selling. No auction clock, no buyer's premium, and a research hub of model histories and market data.
Why this exists
Preservation is the point
In the shopThe collector car world has a problem that isn't about cars. Great mechanics, detailers, restorers and inspectors exist everywhere, and most of them are invisible outside their own network. Finding one still means knowing someone who knows someone.
That matters more than it sounds. When help is hard to find, cars sit, get bodged, get parted out, or disappear into permanent storage. And the people who know how to prep paint for a concours lawn, or who grew up rebuilding air-cooled engines, are not being replaced at the rate they are retiring. A platform that makes ownership easier keeps more cars on the road. One that keeps those specialists busy keeps the knowledge alive.
There has never been a real network for the collector car hobby, a way for owners to find good help. We are out to change that. Nobody can vet every shop, so we don't pretend to. We are counting on owners to lift up the shops they trust, and every honest review makes the next owner's search a little easier.

Chris Peterson is the founder of Fully Sorted and a lifelong car nerd. His grandfather founded Jack in the Box here in San Diego and helped popularize the drive-thru with a two-way intercom: say what you need, and the right people get it done. Same idea, different menu.
